Western Wyoming Fly Fishing School

The career in fishing started with Ryan at a very young age. By the age of 13, he had began tying flies commercially for various fly shops around the country and began his fly fishing guide career in 2004 throughout Wyoming, guiding the Green, New Fork, Snake, Big Horn and North Platte river systems. Since then he has guided Alaska, Mongolia and all across the American West, and hosted fishing trips stateside and abroad. In 2013, he formed the Wyoming Fishing Company LLC, which has now grown into a year around cast and blast operation with over a dozen guides on it’s roster. Ryan is a University of Wyoming Alumni and year around Wyoming resident father to 3 boys and his life partner, Cyndle. He and his family life a life immersed in the outdoors both in Wyoming and Alaska, where they are partnered in Wyak Outfitters LLC, an Alaskan sport fishing and wing shooting operation. Ryan is well versed in single hand fly casting, two handed spey casting, along with tenkara style of fly fishing. Ryan has spent over 20,000 hours as a professional fly fishing guide over the years and is always teaching anglers whether they are targeting trophies or just good fishing. 

Growing up out east, Chris loved chasing native brookies in rhododendron and mountain laurel choked streams of Appalachia and the challenge that ensued.

A few years ago, he traded the rolling hills and small streams for the towering peaks and large alpine lakes of the Rocky Mountains. While you can usually find him in the summer stomping around the high country in search of brookies, native Cutthroat, and Golden Trout, he has recently taken to floating the big waters of western Wyoming to chase some bigger fish.

Aside from fishing, Chris loves long distance backpacking, hunting whitetails out east during muzzleloader season, and adventure racing. Nothing get Chris more stoked than bringing a new angler into the fold and showcasing all that western Wyoming has to offer!
